What the heck is going on here. Does anyone understand just what this firm is trying to accomplish? Maybe if they ceased operations and let their employees go, I could understand the reduction in their \”emissions.\” The only thing that stinks here is the hidden liberal agenda. P.S. where are all the hurricanes we were supposed to get this year?

Ya\’ll must be French, nothing constructive to say, afraid of the truth. Stick your head in the ground and hope for the best; then cry for help when the stuff hits the fan.

    Hey father, couple of questions.

    1) How big\’s your carbon foot print?
    2) Name the highest producer of CO2?
    3) Can I put a windmill in your back yard?
    4) What do you drive?
    5) How many nuclear facilities have been built within last 25 years in USA?
    6) What do you use to heat or cool your home?
    7) If man has caused global warming, who or what caused the ice age?
    8) Are standards of living better now than 10 years ago 20 50 100 1,000 10,000 years ago.
    9) Since the US uses the most energy per capita, would you rather live in Cuba, Zimbawe, France, Greenland, Mexico?
    10) Short of a nuclear holocaust (see Iran and North Korea for this danger), do you actually believe we will destroy the earth?
My head may be in the sand, but its not up my….

I\’ll bet you could find the answers to your questions using google.

As to number 10, from your tone, I\’m pretty sure it is. And you can probably get help for that anger problem.

What about that firms actions scares you so? Or are you one of those individuals who can\’t stand anyone who doesn\’t agree with you?

What they are doing can\’t hurt, so what\’s the harm?

Well Father, for one, they are not reducing their \”gasses\”, only buying feel good credits. Big F\’ing deal. So now, if you can contribute to a charity, it is ok to pollute and feel good about it? I have great admiration to companies that actually do try and reduce their emissions and help the enviroment, but I am ashamed at the pitiful PR move that this firm is doing.

    Hey Father,
I am still waiting for your answers to questions 1 through 4. I\’ll add a fifth: What did Clinton do about global warming? Oh, I forgot, he was warming Monica!!!!

No anger here, just want the facts to speak for themselves. I can also answer your questions. Will you answer mine?
\”What about that firms actions scare you so?\” Nothing. My concern is the hypocrisy of the whole idea that we are polluting ourselves into oblivion. I grew up in the seventies and can vividly remember rivers catching fire, ozone alerts etc. Today there is hardly a whisper. Granted there are some still polluting, but we live in a much cleaner world today.
\”Or are you one of those individuals who can\’t stand anyone who doesn\’t agree with you?\” I can find just as many scientists who would debunk the theory of man causing global warming, however only those that preach the end of the world get press. If you have reasoned arguments, please list them, or did I miss something?
\”What they are doing can\’t hurt, so what\’s the harm?\” Lets say theorectically they have purchased all the carbon emmission credits. How do we heat our homes, get to work, manufacture without any energy that emits CO2? The harm would be higher energy costs for all including poor people. Higher prices for anything manufactured.
Thanks for the opportunity to reply.

    Your commrade, Vlad.
