Come on guys, why wait for the sixth drunken driving conviction to jail the criminal for ten years and pull their drivers license permanently. It should be, at the most, the third conviction. At that point there is no question that the driver should never be allowed on the highway again.
Guess the lawmakers want to protect their own by coming up with such a lame law.
In New York, a third DWI within 10 years will get you a maximum of 7 years in the pokey – and I feel that this is a light sentence.
