Paul V. Halter has joined The Rockingham Group of Harrisonburg, Virginia as assistant vice president for research and development. In this role he will have responsibility for he development of new property/ casualty insurance products and markets for the company.
Halter served as agency sales manager for a national insurance company and as a vice president for a national insurance broker. His most recent management positions were in the workers compensation area where he served as the president and CEO of Commerce Casualty, Tarheel Insurance Management and Guarantee Insurance Co., all of which were located in Charlotte, N.C.
In other news, the company reported that A. M. Best Co. has reaffirmed the Financial Strength Rating for Rockingham Mutual Insurance Co. as A (excellent) and for its subsidiary, Rockingham Casualty Co., as A-
(excellent).
The Rockingham Group serves policyholders in Virginia and Pennsylvania through Rockingham Mutual Insurance Co. Rockingham Casualty Co., and Rockingham Mutual Service Agency.
