It’s one (very bad) thing to scam people on insurance but this is over the top. I’d go for death for these guys. Even the mob only whacks people – they don’t take out a policy on the guy first. This is sick.

Last time I checked, due to the cost of all the appeals, it costs about $5mm. all told to implement and carry out a death sentence. Life imprisonment is a lot cheaper.

What do you mean “possible”? There should be nothing to discuss when two pieces of human garbage are convicted of such a heinous plot. It should be a mandatory death sentence. If this doesn’t qualify what does? The problem with our legal system and judges, is that they don’t want to make the right/tough call. The “appeal process” is a joke. People should be allowed ONE appeal to be filed within 180-days. Then, sentencing should be carried out IMMEDIATELY. I know that sounds harsh, but enough is enough. The average stay on death row is now 18 years. I love it when somebody comes us with “new evidence” after 15 years and wants a new trial. The only people who are risk in our society are the law abiding citizens. The criminals have the law to protect them.

Why put them out of their misery – life in prison without parole – and let’s go back to hard time. Make them work, make them sweat. No TV, No Internet. There should be one nationwide prison for these kinds of jerks where they all go. Solitary confinement on a rotating basis once a month, etc. And no visitors.

Better yet ship them to a nation where the prisons are the worst in the world.

I like your last idea the most. The fact is that these idiots will be sent somewhere they’ll get free medical and dental treatment, a library, fitness room, won’t have to work and pay taxes.

If you though life in jail was so wonderful why the heck are you still working a regular job. Why not go out and rob a bank, the worst that could happen is you go to jail and you don’t seem to think thats such a bad thing.

The truth is i doubt anyone would seriously consider spending the rest of their life in jail a pleasant experience. You may feel it’s more than some people deserve but that doesnt make it a walk in the park.

I think life in prison is punishment enough. If you kill someone for killing another people, how is that any better? What if they are found innocent later (hey, it’s happened) That makes the people who put them in prison and sentanced them to death no better than the any other murder.

Kill the scumbags now. No appeals, no waiting for 20 years to put this trash down. Hell, I’d pull the switch right now.

Dear “no name”: the point is………..compared to paying with their pathetic lives, prison looks pretty good. Let’s be practical. As a taxpayer, I don’t want to support maintaining these animals for the next 40 years. Medicare and Medicaid don’t give our decent seniors the same care these two idiots will receive. Enough already.

You sure this isn’t just a plot for a Hollywood movie script. I cannot believe what some people do in this world.

No TV? No Internet? Why not also pull their toe nails out once a month and make them listen to Barbara Streisand music 16 hrs a day?

The answer then is not to abolish the DP, but to implement it more quickly and cheaply. A stand-alone docket in DP each state that would review DP cases on a fast track basis so that appeals and final review would take no more than 60 days makes better sense than giving three hots and a cot to evil miscreants for life.
