Personal Injury Governor Ed Rendell recently declared that Pennsylvania’s medical liability lawsuit abuse crisis is over. Now, he is threatening medical liability insurance subsidies…so, if the crisis is over, then why must doctors be subsidized? Shouldn’t that money go to Rendell’s uninsured, since he believes all is well on the med mal front?
Rendell simply can’t make up his mind. Or perhaps his allegiance to the trial lawyers who made his governorship possible is beginning to clash with the reality of Pennsylvania’s crisis.
