Another instance of crooks damaging the reputations of all the HONEST agents out there.
I hope the commisioner revokes their licenses.

How ironic that such sophisticated operation(s)find themselves caught with their hand(s) in the cookie jar! I’m a main street agent who’s lost a good client or two to large Boston firms over the years.(And we all know who they are…) Usually I lost them due to client(or paid consultant’s) perception that larger was better, broker had “more experience” with larger clients, a deeper bench for better serivce, more markets and clout with carriers. Altering premiums on policies, keeping two sets of accounting records, lying to clients about broker’s total compensation i.e.”double dipping”, intentionally witholding a return premium of more than 100K…If a main street agent got caught doing this the DOI would have good reason to revoke the license and shut the doors for any ONE of these violations. But for all violations combined, there should be NO MERCY for those responsible. SELL or liquidate the company and SEND THEM ALL TO JAIL. But it will never happen. I wonder how the paid “consultants” explain why their clients should continue to use these large firms.

Like the public entity sector. It would curl your hair to see how consultants and board members cheat the public in taking higher priced, reduced coverage programs.

And don’t thnk for a moment Chubb wasn’t aware of the situation….

It seems lawyers aren’t the only professionals with skeletons in their closet. So many readers of IJ articles post comments about attornies being blood sucking parasites, but I’ve noticed that it seems nearly every day there are a couple of articles about insurance professionals being indicted for fraud or other crimes. It doesn’t surprise me one bit when I hear people talk about insurance professionals in the same light as attornies and use car salesman. It is sad, but true.
