I have a co worker who was parked next to the hospital when the storm went through. She said that she did not know what was happening. She only saw the down pour of rain and waited to get out of her car. Once the storm passed she got out of her car and then noticed the damage. She lives one mile away from where the tornado hit and it is nothing like she has ever seen before. It is truly a blessing that no one was killed. We only got notification on the radio moments before the tornado hit and the announcement was a warning because conditions were favorable for a tornado. We did not get any type of notification of an actual sighting until after it had already touched down.
