Does anyone wonder why the notion of same sex “marriages” just became vogue within the past several years when it was previously a non-issue for a couple thousand years?

An argument can be built over the right to have a committed relationship recognized for purposes of insurance benefits and other such issues. The line must be drawn when the issue of children is involved. A “family” with same sex parents is a mutation of the “family” concept of having a mother and father. There was a reason that definition lasted 2,000 years. In a gay union, who attends the child’s mothers day celebration? How is that explained to the other children?
In a lesbian union, who attends the fathers day celebration? How is that explained?

No one should be discriminated against for any kind of benefit, unless they are an illegal alien. Gays should get the same financial benefits. To you who ask about explaining things to kids. I know a lot of mom’s who go to dad’s day because dad is dead. Get over it and quit being homophobic!
