what is wrong with the term? Are you telling me you don’t do anything to conserve? cloth bags? compost? Cloth napkins? recycle for crying out load?(maybe you are from Rhode Island) Keep driving your gas guzler…what do you want it called
Actually, what I was referring to was being annoyed at the term “Green” and what it represents, not the coverage on the insurance policy that protects these things. Why don’t YOU discern the difference.
Rob: First, recycling is harmful to the economy. Even an actuary knows that. Second, you spelled “guzzler” wrong. And “Jack” – if you are going to use a false name, it’s “Jake DeSantis”, not “Jack DeSantis”. I agree with “HadEnough” – most of the “green” movement has no substance, and is annoying.
John, thank you. Rob, actually, I do conserve, a lot. But I’ve been doing it for years, not just recently because some political movement slapped a color description on it. I recycle, take old bags with me to the grocery store, hardly ever use paper plates or cups, never use styrofoam, hypermile in my car, etc. In fact, my wife who is a so called liberal, hardly does any of this, and me, the big bad republican, has been doing it way longer than this “green” movement. I don’t want it called anything other than what it is, conservation. So again, to clarify for people who just can’t seem to understand what I’m getting at, I am annoyed at the political movement that was created to get politicians elected, not the idea of conserving.
Green is not a political movement, it is a cultural undertaking. Just beause Obama was smart enough to capitalize on it and Bush was too dim to embrace it, don’t confuse what it is and what is is not.
Is ‘green’ not the most annoying word now? I don’t even like to say it to describe the color of something because it’s so irritating.

“Green” is the new religion for many people. If their god tells them they should pay more for insurance, kudos to FF for taking their money.
Very nicely said!
Being annoyed at green coverage is the same as being annoyed by auto coverage. It’s just a term, not a religion. Discern the difference.

Gentlemen:
Green is not a political movement, it is a cultural undertaking. Just beause Obama was smart enough to capitalize on it and Bush was too dim to embrace it, don’t confuse what it is and what is is not.
This one time a ate a ton of spinach, and a green energy drink, and my spewge was green. That scared the hell out of her, and me for that matter!
