The bill sounds very good in theory but the unintended consequences are that a bunch of people could be put out of work through no fault of their own. Fine the employer – but a stop work order means unemployed people – did the legislature really want that?

Anyone who has ever worked with any governmental agency knows how ineffective, inefficient and just plain old stupid it can be. Now the idiotic state government wants to empower itself to have more control over our lives. Let’s take this one step further; in this bad economy, in which every lying politician, (I know it’s redundant), claims to want to create jobs,
it’s clear that the government is more interested in controling the people rather than helping them. Very revealing. The reality is that for many types of insurance policies, the business owner ESTIMATES payroll and #’s of employees. The year end audit reconciles what the business actually did for the year, and the difference is paid by thye appropriate party. Why is it that process no longer adequate? Of course the answer is simple, the government wants to exert more control. Freedom has become just a nasty impediment.
It’s now way past the time to throw this group of bums out!

I am curious how this will impact on a company’s performance bond.
