    i hope they have a report that states something to show that the wall was unsafe. but folks don’t realize, you are in a mine and you can’t control mother nature. you are going into her neighborhood. $8 mil, is that a standard $4 mil apiece? now i wonder, if the lawyer is trying to put more money into his own pocket. i hope the family has enough in their own coffers, because if the lawsuit fails, they still have to own the lawyer…

    one of my biggest problems, is that folks don’t want to believe in accidents and it’s not someone else’s fault for tragedies.

    Accidents do happen, but if they were the result of safety measures being ignored, I think the family is justified in their suit. I am not familiar with the legal world and statutes of limitations, but perhaps they should have waited until a full report was completed on the cause of the collapse.
