Insurance recovery law firm Anderson Kill & Olick has opened a new office in Connecticut.
The office, in Stamford, gives the firm the ability “ability to represent policyholders on the insurance industry’s home turf,” it said.
Charles T. Lee, a lawyer specializing in commercial litigation and insurance recovery for corporate policyholders, will head the office. He joined the firm in September.
Lee has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance coverage for clients including General Electric and Getty Petroleum.
Seven other lawyers will also be based in the Stamford office.
“We see tremendous opportunity in Connecticut, particularly on the insurance recovery front, where law firms have largely left the field to the insurance industry,” Lee said. “At the same time, we will have a robust corporate capability and will be able to offer clients a full suite of legal services.”
