The insurance policy will also provide for legal defense in the event that the contractor is not negligent but still has to defend himself in the event of a lawsuit. The minimum should be at least $500,000, not $100,000 as the senator proposes. Lastly, insurance should be provided so that the injured party could be reimbursed for bodily or property damages.
