Maine-based workers’ comp insurer The MEMIC Group has promoted Michael P. Bourque to senior vice president for external affairs.
Bourque joined MEMIC in 1995 and was appointed vice president for corporate marketing and communications in 2004. His new title reflects his continuing responsibilities in communications, corporate marketing and community relations with the addition of responsibilities in government relations that he took on last year, the company said.
Borque is a former journalist who was senior editor at the American Association of Community Colleges in Washington, D.C. before joining the insurance industry.
