I don’t think it’s a rule yet. Clearly, in the intro, it is a proposal; not a law or regulation yet. So I believe that the author should change the title of the article. Poor revision and authorship of the writer….
Let’s see… who will oppose this? I bet it’s the Chiropractors and Lawyers. The public will only benefit by controlling these costs since their coverage dollar will go further. The witch doctors (chiros) and scumbag PIP lawyers will fight this tooth and nail to keep their little cottage industry humming. They get rich on false or embellished injury claims while we all end up paying more for our insurance as a result. By the way, before somebody gripes about the insurance companies getting all the money, check your stats. Companies lose money on PIP coverage year after year. The Insurance industry is regulated and companies have to go through hoops with the Department of Banking and Insurance for rate increases. I wonder if the same can be said for lawyers fees?
