SERIOUSLY???? The fact that this is taking up time in court is ridiculous. This guy will be the one who bitches the most when his premiums go up because the insurance companies have to pay for this foolishness….

Our legal system is no joke. This type of lawsuit, and the everyday threat of these lawsuits is destroying our country from the inside out. Our litigious society is a MAJOR contributor to inability to attract and keep innovators and entreprenuers generating jobs in this country. If should be stopped, but it won’t be stopped, because the country is run by …..lawyers who are not willing to stifle their gravy train.

This could very well go to a jury. Appears they are alleging negligence against Ms. Woodard which would likely get them to at least a duty to defend. She gave a statement to the police that would indicate she had suspicions of his activities but took no action on it. She should have contacted the police when she found the child pornography and other assorted documentation that would indicate he was up to no good. She did nothing. I see this case being full of jury sympathy should it reach a jury. I’m just curious as to why any parent would allow this man to be around their child. He was her uncle and had a prior conviction of kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault. They admitted they knew of his past. Why would you allow her to spend the night with him? I am of the opinion her parents are the ones who failed her and certainly should not profit from their lack of protecting her.
