More nonsense from our Federal Courts. Why do Judges allow political lawsuits to clog up their calendar? Did anyone expect the Taliban, AL-Qaeda or Iran to put in an answer? Of course the Saudis are out even though most of the hijackers were Saudis, because of course the Saudis are best buddies with the Clinton’s, the Bush’s & now of course Obama.
Sadly this lawsuit is another demonstration of the power that the millionaire 9/11 victim lobby has over our legal system.

I don’t mean to diminish the feelings of the families of 9/11 victims however, does anyone really think that they are going to get a check from Iran or a terrorist organization? Please explain what sense it makes to even file and pursue a lawsuit? Everyone knows who was responsible and there isn’t anything anyone can do to reverse it. It seems like a really large waste of resources.

Does Iran have any assets in the USA. If they do, could the plaintiffs/court freeze or seize them? If not, I agree that this was a waste of time and money.

How can they refer to ‘the defendants’ as being ‘iran’, while no Iranian official nor lawyer representing the Iranian government was ever involved in the court case.

    This is ridiculous.

THIS IS SO NONSENSICAL I REALLY HAVE NO COMMENT!
I’M AFRAID TO ASK WHO PAID ALL THE LEGAL EXPENSES THAT WERE INCURRED?

Apparently there are several intellectual cowards who did not like my comment, but are unable to publicly state why they disliked it.
This was a political suit by the victims families & their trial lawyers who have shaped & even controlled our country’s agenda since 9/11.

I disliked this comment ’cause it sounds like you’re whining.

Thanks Ned for responding. If going after both parties, & the trial
lawyers who have made hundreds of millions from 9/11, is whining, then I will keep on whining. At least most on this board understand that this Federal case, was a complete waste of time & money. Now they need to question the environment that allows these cases to commence in the first place.
My qualifications to comment on these issues concern my consulting & handling of one of the largest mass fatal torts in NYS prior to 9/11, which was the Happyland Social club fire & then the 1993 bombing of the WTC. Anyone else have any relevant qualifications?

so we find them guilty and those terrorists died w/their own plight… but to assume that we can get the money to recover especially $100 billion?! nobody will ever see that… it’s ashame that we try a legal system to even think we can recover any money at all! it’s a tragedy within a tragedy….
