A new state website will help Maryland residents navigate health care reform policies.
Officials announced the launch of the site on Friday, the second anniversary of the passage of the Federal Affordable Care Act. The site, www.healthreform.maryland.gov, is designed to navigate health benefits that either already exist or will be available under the reform law.
The Affordable Care Act mandates that states set up virtual marketplaces, known as health care exchanges, where individuals and small businesses can buy health insurance.
While the Supreme Court continues to debate whether the federal law is constitutional, Maryland has moved forward with launching its exchange.
