Short Hills, N.J.-based insurance broker Bollinger acquired Creative Agency Group in Holmdel, N.J.
Creative Agency Group specializes in program business — specifically golf and county clubs, health and fitness clubs, small animal hospitals (veterinarians), independent auto dealers (used car) and franchised auto dealers.
Creative Agency Group’s senior managers, including Walter Nalbandian, who founded the firm in 1971, and John Birofka, a principal, will be part of the Bollinger team.
Bollinger said the acquisition will help strengthen its program business, especially its golf and country club program.
Bollinger is one of the country’s largest privately owned insurance agencies. The firm offers services in: personal insurance; commercial property/casualty insurance; life, health and financial services; employee benefits; sports programs; golf, country and city clubs; student insurance; broker products; and risk management services. It has 500 employees, placing $1 billion of insurance premiums.
