The Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA), a national alliance of over 4,000 independent insurance agencies, said six new agencies in the northeastern region became members in March.
These new members are: Keane Insurance Agency of Enfield, N.H.; Bott Agency of Brookfield, Conn.; Concrete Insurance of Baltimore, Md.; Penna & Associates Agency of Johnson City, N.Y.; Joseph J. Kenyon of Worcester, N.Y.; and D&L Insurance of Fredricksburg, Va.
Across the country, the month of March provided 40 new member agencies — including 22 former “captive agents” new to the independent agency system, bringing new premium dollars and new people into the system.
For the 2012 first quarter, 102 agencies became new SIAA members across the country.
SIAA members created more than $780 million in new premium growth in 2011. Since it’s inception in 1995, SIAA has signed over 4,000 new members. SIAA is dedicated to the creation, retention and growth of the independent insurance agency distribution system.
