They would be guaranteed coverage at 70 though. Given the average life expectancy is higher today than it was 30 years ago, this isn’t a bad idea. People need to get it through their heads that no matter how much they pay in over their life, that they draw more benefits after retiring. If you want guaranteed coverage at 65, then go to the private market and buy it.

I have worked my whole life and am 6 years away from Medicare. I don’t want to wait till 70. Trim the pork with something else in Washington!!!!
