I disagree with this on so many levels. Let’s start with parental responsibility!

When my child was little, I tested the equipment I put her on. Slides in particular get hot. They always have. No one wants to take responsibility for anything these days. Now what? Are they going to dismantle the playground so that even the responsible families can’t use the equipment?

Burning hot playground slides used to be one of the features of childhood in this city, along with dead pigeons and floating paper boats in the gutter. It’s sad that there are people here now who don’t understand the basic physics a six year old once did, and that the legal system encourages them.

Someone should warn these parents that winter is coming. If little Paula sticks her tongue to a metal pole, the taxpayers will be on the hook again. I say put signs on all metal poles now!!! Metal poles are a bad design…right?
