U.S. Chief Claims Officer Named for Navigators Management Co. in N.Y.

The Navigators Group Inc. recently appointed Christopher Finneran as U.S. chief claims officer of Navigators Management Company Inc., the Group’s principal underwriting agency subsidiary.

Finneran will be responsible for managing all U.S. claims, and will report to Bruce Byrnes, senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Prior to joining Navigators, Finneran most recently was head of claims at Everest National Insurance Company, where he oversaw a book of Auto & General Liability, Construction Defect, D&O, Professional Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Property claims.

The Navigators Group is an international specialty insurance holding company with insurance company operations, underwriting management companies, and operations at Lloyd’s. Headquartered in Rye Brook, N.Y., Navigators has offices in major insurance centers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
