Safeco Insurance, a Liberty Mutual Insurance company, announced this week it began selling its personal lines insurance products in Massachusetts this month.
This is the first time Safeco Insurance products are available in Massachusetts. Safeco now writes in all states, except Maine, Delaware, New Jersey, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia, according to Liberty Mutual.
Safeco said it now provides a broad suite of auto, home, motorcycle, watercraft, RV and other specialty insurance products through 400 independent agencies across Massachusetts.
“Since joining the Liberty Mutual family in 2008, Safeco has focused on selling its rapidly growing national brand exclusively through independent agents and providing outstanding local service to both our agents and customers,” said Safeco’s Regional General Manager Victor Pepin. “We are excited to introduce Massachusetts insurance agents and residents to our high-quality products and service.”
In business since 1923 and based in Seattle, Wash., Safeco sells personal automobile, homeowners and specialty products through a network of more than 10,000 independent insurance agencies throughout the United States.
