Philadelphia Insurance Names SVP of Field Underwriting in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia Insurance Companies announced the hiring of Kurt D. Hines as senior vice president of field underwriting. He is based in the company’s Bala Cynwyd, Penn., headquarters.

Hines will be responsible for growing and managing the field underwriting operations, which incorporate the company’s 46 offices across the country. Hines joins Philadelphia Insurance with more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Previously, Hines served as head of sales and performance management for Zurich North America. In this position, he was responsible for sales management and for directing sales practices of Zurich’s market-facing teams in the broker and independent agent channel. An actuary by training, he is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

In operation since 1962, Philadelphia Insurance Companies designs, markets, and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products and services for select industries.
