Pawtucket, R.I.-based home insurer Narragansett Bay Insurance Company (NBIC) said it is increasing its capacity for coastal homeowners insurance through select agency partners.
The company said it is expanding its coastal capacity for Cape Cod, Plymouth County, the North Shore, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts as well as for coastal properties in Rhode Island.
“NBIC is fully committed to its founding principle to be the cost effective insurance solution for coastal homeowners,” said NBIC’s Chief Executive Officer Todd Hart. “NBIC has developed product and service platforms that target coastal territories. By aligning the business and rating models, where earnings provide the ability to exceed the cost of capital, the company will be able to continue to grow profitably.”
NBIC said it is increasing its distribution relationships with a number of agency partners. The following independent agencies and brokers will have increased capability from NBIC to provide homeowners insurance: Hub International Insurance; Rogers & Gray Insurance; Starkweather & Shepley Insurance; Eastern Insurance; Renaissance Insurance Agents; Elliot Whittier Insurance; State Fund Insurance; Carey, Richmond & Viking Insurance; OceanPoint Insurance; Troy, Pires & Allen Insurance; and Rose & Kiernan Insurance.
