Group Urges New York DFS to Review Auto Insurers’ Rate-Setting Practices

    NYSDFS should also look into how claims are paid. We are required by law to have a minimum of 50/100/50 in coverage. However, the
    insurance companies are not required by law to pay out up to the minimum of 50/100/50. They can choose at anytime to send you to
    an IME doctor who is paid by the insurance company to deny claims,
    this leaves the insured responsible for thousand in medical bills.
    Where is the Insurance company putting the monies they don’t pay out. Back into their pockets. Wouldn’t this be considered racketerring? Who’s protecting injured victims, definately not our insurance companies.
