Beecher Carlson Insurance Services LLC, a specialized large account brokerage and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., established a national private equity/mergers and acquisitions team in New York.
The private equity/M&A team will be led by Kevin Maloy and Damian Smith, with John Green joining the team. All three appointees are joining Beecher Carlson from Crystal and Company in New York.
The newly established team will specialize in providing pre-closing insurance and employee benefits services, aggregated insurance platforms and transactional risk management services to large and middle market private equity firms, infrastructure funds, alternative asset managers and corporate clients.
Maloy previously lead a North American team for a larger broker and founded and led the national mergers and acquisitions group at Crystal and Company. He has more than 16 years of private equity diligence experience.
Smith previously headed the national property placement team on behalf of the merger and acquisitions group for 17 years at Marsh & McLennan, a role he assumed at Crystal and Company the past 14 months.
Green was most recently with the national mergers and acquisitions group at Crystal and Company supporting the due diligence and post-close procurement efforts.
