Coverys Appoints Bagley as General Counsel in Boston

Coverys, a Boston-based medical professional liability insurer, has appointed Erin Brennan Bagley as vice president and general counsel. Bagley will be responsible for overseeing Coverys’ legal department and advising the company on all corporate legal matters.

Bagley brings over 10 years of experience, most recently serving as regulatory counsel at the Beazley Group. Prior to her career at Beazley, Bagley served as healthcare counsel to the commissioner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Insurance.

She began her legal career as a litigation associate with Johnson & Aceto, LLP, a corporate and business law firm in Boston. Bagley is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts and was recently appointed a hearing officer with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers.

Coverys is the eighth largest medical professional liability insurance provider in the country based on direct written premium. Coverys member companies insure more than 25,000 physicians, surgeons, dentists, certified nurse midwives and allied healthcare providers, as well as more than 500 hospitals, health centers and clinics.
