Agents from the office of New York Attorney General and the FBI last week seized documents, a laptop and cell phones belonging to Frances Libous, vice chair of the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and wife of New York State Deputy Senate Republican Leader Tom Libous, according to a report from Capital New York.
The nature of the investigation was not immediately clear, Capital New York reported Monday. Frances Libous’ husband was charged last month for allegedly falsifying information to a federal agent, local media reported. He pleaded not guilty.
The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board declined Insurance Journal‘s request for comment. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
