Not sure that this is such a good investment for the Chinese if they plan to let Hilton continue to manage the property. I stayed there in July and was shocked at the state of disrepair in my room. It would not have taken much to make it better, just basic things – a new lampshade, a new desk chair, room service menu and perhaps some sheets that didn’t have holes in them. Housekeeping probably needs to do some staff cleaning.
Japan was into buying US property back when they were flush with money and bought up a lot of Los Angeles property and the famed Pebble Beach golf links. When they got into financial difficulty, they rapidly sold off what they bought at a big discount.

At least let them find out on their own. Then we can buy MORE stuff from China!

The Oxford dictionary definition of ‘unique’ is “being the only one of its kind.”
How can something be ‘very one of a kind’ or ‘the most one of a kind?’
I’m with you, EB. Like nails on a chalkboard. Right up there with “nucular” and “should of”. I, personally, get flustrated at the end of the day.
He’s a senior vice president. I’m very uniquely sure he should of known how to speak…….
