The Vermont Governor’s Highway Safety Program is going to be sponsoring a holiday “Click It or Ticket” campaign to encourage the use of seat belts and child safety seats.
Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 26, motorists in Vermont can expect to see an increased number of law enforcement officers on the roadways enforcing occupant protection laws.
The increased volume of travelers on the roads this week will include students returning home, families traveling to visit loved ones, shoppers along with the daily commuters.
Travelers should make sure that all occupants are using proper safety restraints while in their vehicles, including seatbelts and properly installed child passenger seats.
The campaign will run through Nov. 30.
