Not surprising since these transportation establishments will do anything to maintain their dissolving business models through force of government rather than competing in the market and offering a better, safer product to the customer. Cab and livery companies will claim otherwise but most of the “safety” regulation is in place strictly to raise the barrier to entry or rake in tax dollars.
