Where is Al Gore when you need him to trumpet the world is heating up at record pace? Perhaps he gave a speech in Boston just prior to this blizzard. I saw an interview Jesse Watters had with people on the street about all the snow and cold. The crusty old guy said if he saw Gore, he would walk up and smack him on the head.
2014 was the hottest year on record and January 2015 was the second hottest January on record for the entire planet. The earth is still warming up even though – sarcastic surprise – it snows in the northeast US during winter.
Your statement is a fact, and that’s why I’m always confused when people argue that the climate is not changing.
Are you just saying that the climate has and will continue to change? If so, you agree that climate change is real and is happening right now. That’s the only point I’ve been trying to make.
Rosenblatt–that’s a tricky way of putting words in my mouth. I am not saying that climate change in the sense that the left has portrayed it is happening. what I AM saying is, the earth always has and always will go through the natural processes of warming and cooling, just as it has for the past many millions of years.

I’m sorry TMIANAL, I did not intend to put words in your mouth. That’s why my 2nd paragraph started with “are you just saying….?” to try to maeks ure I understood your real intent, but I can totally see how you took it as me putting words in your mouth. Sorry – that wasn’t my intent.
Still, I completely agree with you that “the earth always has and always will go through the natural processes of warming and cooling, just as it has for the past many millions of years.”
We can attempt to discuss factors that may or may not be accelerating the pace of the climate change, but that’s a very difficult discussion to have.
There are so many variables which impact the ecosystem it is nearly impossible to definitively say (for example) “without people, the temp’s would only be “x” degrees higher, but it’s “x” + 3 so it’s all people’s fault!!”
Still, there’s no debate that temp’s are rising and I believe people need to, first, accept this is a fact and then consider options that may slow down the increase in temp’s so we can keep this planet habitable for our species.

But get your comments in early before the Net Neutrality Nazis take over.
Ed- no worries- It’s all Bush’s fault and you’re a racist. I just said that to make you feel at home.
ISIS update- I called Comcast this morning to ask some questions about my business account and got Ahmed Mohamed the jihadist. It looks like unemployment is on its way down thanks to Comcast. Thanks Comcast- one less beheading.
Gotta go before the internet Nazis show up. Later!
IJ- can I go ahead and put in my request for your weekly newsletter to be mailed to my home address? You know, given the fact the internet is about to SUCK.
Thanks Jack, I feel at home now. Can’t wait to be a sexist, ageist, anti native American, warmongering, Islamaphobic moron when I don’t vote for Elizabeth Warren.
You left out bigot, redneck, white trash, SUV driving, gated community living, right wing extremist, earth killing, animal hater, anti school, flat earther, blah blah blah…….
I’m not voting for that indian either. Does her family own a bunch of casinos up north ?
Hahahaha, you guys think Net Neutrality is bad for the consumer and we’ll suffer slower internet speeds because of it. That’s hilarious. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
I am an American, yet I don’t consider him to be my president—just someone that fools voted in…twice. If he were a president that governed by the Constitution of the United States, then I’d consider him my president.
Based on your last response, I’d like to take back my “Obama is my president” comment now :)

Trust me I am not a liberal,
Your statement, “I am an American, yet I don’t consider him to be my president” cannot be correct. We as Americans cannot pick and choose which president(s) are or are not our individual president, period. You must renounce your citizenship and move.
Assuming your premise could be correct, please tell me who you do consider to have been your president(s) and I am confident that I can find something they did was technically against the Constitution.

Just checking, but you guys are aware that the world is made up of more than the NE section of North America, correct? I am in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, we have had a record warm winter with a whopping 9 inches of snow at Mount Hood Ski Resorts.
I definitely trust that you are not a liberal. By the way, why would you think that our planet would progress or change in a “natural” pattern when we have introduced the incredible amount of unnatural toxins into the atmosphere? Do you think that poison just dissipates without any effect on the earth? If that were true, why do people die in a closed garage when they leave their car running?
Agreed. After all, when it’s winter here in the US, it’s summer in the other hemisphere. Apparently it’s a lot easier to say “record cold in the US means global warming is a lie” instead of admitting that the climate has and continues to change and, taken as a whole planet, the earth’s temperatures are rising and the earth’s sea ice is decreasing (not just looking at Antarctic sea ice, but ALL of the earth’s sea ice).
Insert global warming jokes below.

Al couldn’t fly into Boston…airport was shut down…due to climate cooling.
2014 was the hottest year on record and January 2015 was the second hottest January on record for the entire planet. The earth is still warming up even though – sarcastic surprise – it snows in the northeast US during winter.
The earth has been warming up for MILLIONS of years…and cooling down for MILLIONS of years! Ad Nauseam.

Great news. The FCC just approved the slow down and taxation of the internet. Happy Libtards?
I’m going to go ahead and tell you I told you so because they are going to screw this up just like OBAMACARELSS AND FEMA FLOOD!
I would invest in the US postal service if I were you, it’s going to be faster. LEEEEAAAANNNNNNN Forward AMERICA!
Moving forward at the speed of DOS. So sick of this schmuck and his whole ass kissing administration.

No, Rosenblatt. We just don’t like your socialist president cramming socialist CRAP down our throats. You, on the other hand, apparently enjoy it.
Technically he is my president as I’m a citizen of the USA, but I did not vote for him in either election, so your reply isn’t accurate.

We have had our share of record warm winters too, Questionning. Just like they did 150 years ago. It is the natural progression of our planet!
