Goji, an online independent insurance agency based in Boston, hired Steve Kezirian as the firm’s new chief executive officer.
Kezirian succeeds interim CEO James Ermilio, who will be transitioning back to chief insurance officer and board director roles.
Prior to Goji, Kezirian was CEO of IBEX Global Solutions, a provider of outsourced contact center services with a focus on complex, technology-intensive applications. In his role as CEO of IBEX, Kezirian oversaw the operations of over 12,000 employees across 23 locations in six countries. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at CG Technology, Sprint and Tickets.com.
Founded in 2007, Goji, which changed its name from Consumer United last year, offers property/casualty insurance products including auto and homeowners. It currently partners with 16 carriers including Progressive, Travelers, Safeco, Esurance, 21st Century and Plymouth Rock. Goji has some 300 employees and is backed by private equity firms Spark Capital, Thayer Street Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, and Five Elms Capital.
