Confie Seguros, a Huntington Beach, California-based national provider of personal lines insurance, announced its acquisition of Schunke Insurance Agency Inc. in West Seneca, New York, and Reynolds & Reynolds Agency Inc. in Bellport, New York. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Schunke Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency located in West Seneca, near Buffalo. The agency writes personal lines and small commercial insurance and was founded in 1985. The owner Richard P. Schunke and his son Rick Schunke, Jr. will continue with Confie to manage the operation, the announcement said.
Reynolds & Reynolds Agency, based in Bellport, represents Confie’s first agency in New York’s Long Island region. The agency was founded in 1974 and serves the Eastern end of Long Island with personal lines insurance.
Established in 2008, Confie is an insurance distribution firm primarily focused on personal lines and small commercial insurance. The firm currently has annual revenue of over $470 million and over 670 retail locations. Confie is a portfolio company of Boston-based private equity firm ABRY Partners.
