I am sure all of the agents subsidizing this expansion while their contract values continue to erode will be happy.

It just amazes me how individuals can still insure with a company that only values what Zurich wants, all while screwing the agents…

As a grandfather’d Farmers Agent with the FIG connection of over 40 years, I do see the enthusiasm & excitement of the Texas Head, Jim Swope, regarding the coming Smart Auto & Home products; No mention of the 30% cut in Agent commission or contract value is made in local FIG district meetings, and when any agent does bring it up, you can see the anxiety within the district & regional heads as if they do not appreciate any FIG agent taking the new plans with personal disapproval. Hey, who is Smart here, the agents certainly are not, to be working, thriving business associates of Farmers, and suddenly become sub-servant slaves, with the coming cash cut. It truly is an embarrassment to agents to have to put up with this, no less when customers and the rest of the whole world can realize that the agency force is stupid enough to take it, and keep representing such a carrier. Too many times, the local district manager has asked me to resign, for lack of production, when we all know that our loss of income points to the carrier, when the agent gets the blame. I will continue to hang tuff, call me a Red-Neck to put up with it.
