If they received a settlement of $450,000 from the State, I don’t understand why they would make a claim against their insurance carrier?

    “Let them off the hook.”??

How about appropriately overturned ruling in favor of policy language?

Where’s the settlement from the pesticide company’s liability carrier? Even if they contract for the state there should be a policy naming the state as an AI.

Ins Guy nailed this and it has nothing to do with Vermont or Bernie Sanders, just plain policy language. Why did they sue anyway if they already made a settlement. If they had an agent, why didn’t he advise that it was excluded in the declarations? Bet plaintiff’s attorney is not happy without a big payday.
