    So fraud in Massachusetts carries no jail time. Why am I not surprised?

    The details of this case are even worse than the summary in IJ implies. This woman’s children were getting paid by Medicare for taking care of their mother. They were actually billing Medicare. They got caught because one of them was in prison while supposedly giving care, and some of the others were out of town.

    To add insult to injury, “continued without a finding” means that in 3 years if they don’t get arrested for anything else, the charge can be removed from their criminal history.

      This sounds a lot more like the “entitlement” crowd catching a break from justice. Massachusetts is a very liberal Democratic stronghold.
