The PUC does not fool around. they may seem to be a little unresponsive to consumer complaints but they do not like to be take for granted. Uber knew that they did not comport with the livery standards established for “Taxi’ business, yet they went ahead and started operations as they did in other municipalities. What they hoped for was the PUC to bow to a fait accompli, but it didn’t work. Now they will have to negotiate and the PUC will play hard ball. Just sayin’
