Kenneth A. Distel of Avon, Conn., was re-elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. (PIACT), at the association’s Annual Convention held March 8-9 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.
Distel is area vice president of RPS Distel in Farmington, Conn.
PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
An active member of PIACT, Distel served as president-elect of the association in 2016 to 2017, treasurer in 2015 to 2016 and secretary in 2014 to 2015. Currently, Distel is executive chairperson of PIACT’s Executive/Budget & Finance Committee. He also is an ex-officio member of the Administrative/Nominations and the Association Programs Committees.
