The PURE Group of Insurance Companies, which is based in New York, N.Y., and includes Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE) – the policyholder-owned property and casualty insurer designed for high-net-worth individuals and families – has appointed Michael Taylor to chief claims officer and Jason Metzger to head of Risk Management.
They will both join the company’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to President and CEO Ross Buchmueller.
Taylor joined PURE in 2016 as deputy claims officer. He brought with him more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, including executive roles at AIG and CNA. Taylor began his career at Allstate Insurance.
Metzger joined PURE in 2013 following a decade at Progressive, where he served in multiple leadership roles. During his tenure at PURE, he has overseen broker distribution and led business development for the New York metro region in a general management role.
