The Vermont Department of Public Safety is going to be holding briefings for municipalities and others interested in applying for federal disaster assistance to help pay for repairs made following storms May 4-5.
Attendance is mandatory for any municipalities or public non-profit group that incurred infrastructure damage during the storms and is seeking assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Eligible groups can receive reimbursement for 75 percent of the repair costs.
A Tuesday briefing was held in the town of Colchester offices. The Wednesday briefing will be at the Washington Electric Co-op in East Montpelier and the third and final briefing will be held Friday Aug. 10 at the Vermont Electric Co-op in Johnson.
