A.M. Best Upgrades Ratings for Palisades Group, High Point Homeowners Group

Plymouth Rock Assurance has announced that A.M. Best Rating Services Inc. upgraded the financial strength ratings of the Palisades Group and High Point Homeowners Group to A- (Excellent). In addition, their long-term issuer credit ratings have been upgraded to a-.

The ratings, which were issued along with a revised outlook of stable, reflect the companies’ strong operating performance, risk-adjusted capitalization strategies and balance sheet strength, which A.M. Best categorized as very strong.

The Palisades Group includes Palisades Safety and Insurance Association, Palisades Insurance Company, High Point Property and Casualty Insurance Company, High Point Safety and Insurance Company, Twin Lights Insurance Company and Teachers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey. The High Point Homeowners Group includes High Point Preferred Insurance Company and Palisades Property and Casualty Insurance Company.

Plymouth Rock Assurance is a marketing name used by separate underwriting and management companies that offer personal and commercial auto and home insurance. Insurance in New Jersey is offered by Palisades Safety and Insurance Association, Palisades Insurance Company, High Point Property and Casualty Insurance Company, Teachers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey, High Point Safety and Insurance Company, Twin Lights Insurance Company, High Point Preferred Insurance Company and Palisades Property and Casualty Insurance Company.

Personal auto and home insurance is offered in Pennsylvania through Palisades Insurance Company, High Point Preferred Insurance Company and Palisades Property and Casualty Insurance Company. Each company is financially responsible only for its own insurance products and actual coverage is subject to the language of the policies as issued by each company.
