When the accident happened there was a conspiracy theory going around that the trash truck was planted there in order to take out the large amount of GOP going to their retreat. You know how the GOP loves Fake News.
In a related story, a democrat train crashed into a car at a crossing in DC. The engineer immediately blamed President Trump for the crash stating that he should have been directing traffic at the crossing instead of playing golf with China’s President. The owner of the car was slightly injured and has been offered free tuition to any college in a blue state plus free cell phones for life.
The headline and story identify the train riders as Republicans for several reasons. First, the train was hired by Republicans and that distinguishes it from other crashes. The train that crashed was filled with Republicans, more than half of Congress including the leadership, who were on their way to a retreat. That there were so many from the party in one place and who were endangered is noteworthy from a news perspective. When the train crashed, some of the Republicans said they were reminded of the tragic shooting that took place at the GOP softball game practice six months earlier— where they were apparently targeted because of their party affiliation. Some on the train and in Republican circles said they feared that the crash was another attack on the GOP members. Fortunately, the lawmakers on the train were not injured. The lawsuit, as the story clearly explains, is against the railroad, not against Republicans or any occupants of the train.
Why was the reference to Republican Lawmakers in this release? They were passengers of the train and not responsible for the accident.
Insurance Journal liberal writers.
It always looks better to the media if they blame Republicans for everything that happens in life.
That was my first reaction too, Bob.
