A construction worker has died after a fall at a housing site in northern New Jersey, authorities said.
The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday in Florham Park.
Wander Santos, 47, of Newark, fell about 30 to 35 feet and suffered severe blunt force trauma to his head, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Authorities said it’s not yet known what caused the fall, but it appears that Santos’ death was an accident. No other injuries were reported.
Workers at the site are building a combination of condominiums, townhouses and single-family homes.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Florham Park police are investigating the accident.
