A construction worker was injured when a gasket burst and struck him in the head at a college in northern New Jersey, authorities said.
Workers were conducting a standard pressure test on a chiller line in the Learning Commons Library at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey, when the accident occurred, according to school spokeswoman Angela Daidone. She said the worker was taken to a hospital, but his name and further details on his condition were not disclosed.
No other injuries were reported in the accident, which remains under investigation.
The accident did not disrupt classes or other activity at the school.
