Global insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced it has acquired Chantilly, Virginia-based The Andersen Group.
The Andersen Group is a retail insurance agency serving non-profit trade associations, government contractors and engineering services companies in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
According to the announcement, Frank Andersen and his associates will operate under the direction of Bumpy Triche, head of Gallagher’s Mid-South retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Gallagher provides insurance, risk management and consulting services in approximately 130 countries.
