Insurance broker World Insurance Associates said it acquired the business of Shield Insurance Services of Freehold, New Jersey on June 1, 2023.
Shield specializes in commercial insurance to the transportation sector, with a particular focus in the moving and storage industry. Jose Caraballo is president of Shield.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
World Insurance Associates is headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey. Since its founding in 2011, World has completed more than 195 acquisitions and serves its customers from more than 250 offices. World is ranked #24 on the Top 100 P&C Agencies by Insurance Journal, and #20 on the Top 50 Personal Lines Agencies by Insurance Journal.
