Northeast auto and home insurer Plymouth Rock Home Assurance and pet insurer Fetch are cooperating on a deal that offers Plymouth Rock insureds a 10% discount on pet insurance for the life of their pet through Fetch.
The discount is available to insureds as long as they maintain a Plymouth Rock home policy.
Plymouth Rock said the collaboration responds to customers’ need to protect against the financial impact of unexpected pet healthcare bills.
Fetch coverage includes full dental, complementary and holistic care, breed-specific issues and up to $1,000 of virtual vet care every year at no additional cost. Insureds can use any vet, including specialists and emergency clinics.
According to the Pew Research Center, most Americans (62%) own a pet, including about a third (35%) who have more than one.
Homeowners in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania are eligible for the program.
Fetch insurance policies are underwritten by XL Specialty Insurance Co. or AXIS Insurance Co.
